Exercise is fun. Movement is important.

Exercise gives us so many benefits.

But already I am hearing you say, but I just dont enjoy exercise JC.

But what if I told you, we dont need to exercise to fix ourselves or to change ourselves.

There are so many benefits to exercise besides the obvious.

Things such as mental health, reducing the risk of heart disease, helping your body manage blood sugar levels, improving your mood, keeping you thinking sharper, it can make you feel happier, can help of course with weight loss, can improve your energy levels, and can enhance a sense of well being.

Doesnt that sound like a few good reasons to get moving now?

So here is the thing.

Its not about doing what every one else is doing. Its doing what is right for YOU.

If you want to dance then dance. If you want to walk then walk.

But just get moving.

Now, I am not here dismissing slimming clubs. But, I do invite you to think outside of the box alittle.

How many times have you been back to the same slimming club where you lose weight, then put it ALL back on?

Did it help you to feel all of the above both short term and long term?

How did it make you feel when you didnt lose weight that week? Did it affect your self esteem?

To lose weight we need to be in a calorie deficit. Its that simple. So when people say that particular diet works,

its not the diet as such, its the fact they ended up in a calorie deficit.

So, the point I am trying to make is, doesnt it make sense to learn to understand how we tick alittle more, why at times, we over eat, crave certain foods and also aim to incoroporate some exercise into our lives to bring all of these amazing feelings into our daily/weekly life.

And finally, one of the best reasons I have heard from someone recently about exercising was it inspired their children to get moving.

I personally think this is another awesome reason to just getting moving.

Stop worrying about your shape, your body and your so called imperfections.

And lets all start to love our BODY today, tomorrow and the next day and just start enjoying exercise again.
